Inaugural class of five leading nonprofits is advancing innovative solutions around the world, driving change in public health, cancer treatment, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and criminal justice

New York, New York; October 8, 2024 GLG, the world’s insight network, today announced its inaugural GLG Accelerates class, five nonprofit organizations advancing innovative solutions to urgent social and humanitarian challenges. The organizations are the first to partner with GLG Social Impact’s new program, which provides select nonprofits at key inflection points with one year of unlimited access to GLG’s full suite of products and services.

GLG is the world’s insight network, connecting leading professionals – including nearly half of the Fortune 100 and the majority of the top 10 global banks, consultancies, tech companies, law firms, and pharmaceutical corporations – to the expertise they need to make informed decisions. GLG’s network of experts is the most diverse and senior membership of its kind, with thousands of new experts recruited every day.

GLG Social Impact is the company’s award-winning initiative that supports nonprofits, foundations, and impact funds to help solve many of the world’s most urgent challenges. GLG has partnered with hundreds of organizations since 2014, helping improve millions of lives across more than 150 countries and contributing more than $10M in in-kind services.

“Every day, we at GLG connect our clients across industries and geographies with the right experts to help them capitalize on their greatest opportunities,” said GLG CEO Gemma Postlethwaite. “As the experts in expertise, we’re proud to extend our support and services to the social sector – and honored to launch GLG Accelerates with this exciting group of groundbreaking organizations.”

The members of the inaugural GLG Accelerates class are:

  • Global Health Corps (GHC), a leadership accelerator that’s building and empowering a diverse network of changemakers to transform health systems throughout sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S. GHC’s network has grown to more than 1,200 fellows and alumni, who work in more than 400 health organizations across Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, and the U.S.
  • Hatch Enterprise, a charity that helps underrepresented entrepreneurs in the UK launch and grow sustainable, successful, and impactful businesses. The organization has supported more than 9,000 founders so far, over 80% of whom run businesses with social or environmental impact.
  • Kheyti, a nonprofit that designs and implements low-cost greenhouse solutions and provides end-to-end support to help thousands of smallholder farmers in India become climate resilient and achieve better livelihoods. The organization currently works with more than 5,000 farmers across seven Indian states.
  • Reboot Rx, a U.S.-based nonprofit that’s revolutionizing cancer treatment by using repurposed generic drugs, AI technology, and innovative funding models to create affordable and accessible treatments. The organization’s first round of research, which focused on prostate cancer, has the potential to prevent or delay the disease’s progression for 70,000 patients and save $3B in healthcare costs in the U.S. annually.
  • Recidiviz, a tech nonprofit whose open-source data platform helps criminal justice agencies reduce incarceration and recidivism safely, equitably, and at scale. The organization has safely accelerated more than 136,000 people out of the U.S. criminal justice system through their partnership with 18 states.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned over the past decade of GLG Social Impact – from hundreds of partnerships and thousands of expert calls – to design this new program,” said GLG VP and Head of Social Impact Jen Field. “We can’t wait to see how this class of innovative organizations uses GLG insights to accelerate their work on the cutting edge of the most pressing problems in their communities and the wider world.”
