GLG is committed to advancing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) policies and practices both for our clients and within our own company. GLG’s ESG framework is divided across four principal focus areas:

We pursue policies consistent with our values of high performance and compassion.

Our people can access a range of physical health and wellness benefits including comprehensive health insurance, parental leave, maternity, family building, parenting, and menopause assistance, mental health support, tuition reimbursement for eligible employees, and other offerings. To learn more, please refer to our Benefits & Perks overview

GLG has offices in 14 countries and employees around the world. We prioritize flexibility and collaboration, offering remote and hybrid work options to employees based on proximity to a GLG office. GLG’s culture of high performance and compassion is reflected in our sabbatical opportunities, volunteer day policy, and Social Impact initiatives.

As part of our commitment to continued improvement, GLG engaged an independent partner to conduct a comprehensive employee engagement survey. Though we have plenty of work still to do, responses have been strong and continue to improve.

We believe that a diversity of perspectives is fundamental to our success.

Our business is built on a foundation of first-hand expertise from a wide variety of perspectives, so a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the heart of what we do. We have employees in 14 countries who represent more than 60 nationalities. Our diversity statement can be found here.

We know that inclusiveness is critical for the health of our economy and society, as well as our long-term success. We are committed to increasing our focus on this over the next few years.

As part of our efforts, we operate seven global Diversity Networks to help attract, retain, and develop diverse talent across the organization. Each of our Diversity Networks includes an executive sponsor and other senior business leaders on its leadership team. Our Networks provide safe and welcoming spaces for employees to talk openly, create community, build solidarity, and educate their colleagues about their experiences.

Data as of January, 2024.

We are committed to environmental leadership and energy management.

GLG strives to conduct all business activities in a manner that minimizes environmental impacts, conserves natural resources, and provides for the effective stewardship of the environment. Our environmental policy can be found here.

In 2021, we conducted our first carbon accounting exercise, which we continue to do on an annual basis.

As an insights network providing virtual services, our environmental impact is modest, and principally driven by office energy consumption and business travel. Along with many of our peers, we learned in 2020 that our work can be conducted with a lighter office presence and reduced travel as the pandemic lowered our emissions despite consistent headcount. We intend to conduct business in this way for the foreseeable future and with an increased consideration for our environmental footprint.

Our offices are strategically located in key commercial centers where public transit is accessible. Many of our office buildings possess energy efficiency certifications or source renewable energy directly.

Trusted Environment

We are proud to stand for trust and integrity with our clients and Network Members.

Our industry-leading compliance framework is a foundational part of our business and culture. For further details, our full compliance framework is available here.

Given the virtual nature of our services, data security is also of principal concern for GLG’s business. GLG has established an Information Security Committee to oversee GLG’s information security policies and practices, including but not limited to data governance, privacy, compliance, and cybersecurity.

Our trusted environment also extends to our employees. We have a robust process for reporting harassment and discrimination in the workplace, including protections against retaliation, access to a third-party reporting system, and mandatory annual training for all employees.
