TARGET POPULATION

GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working in logistics, marketing, sales and operations from different industries across the US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on different types of glass packaging used by their organization and the typical costs and annual budget associated with glass packaging.
  • The survey also investigated the sustainability issues faced in packaging, and the recycling practices used by the organisations, as well as looked into whether glass packaging is being replaced by other forms of packaging.
  • Lastly, the research looked at the competitive landscape, comparing brands on the basis of cost, brand image, delivery time, quality of service, and level of innovation.

Examples of findings:

  • Less than half (47%) think glass packaging is being replaced by other forms of packaging.
  • Nearly eight-in-ten (79%) are being pressured by consumers to switch to sustainable packaging.
  • One-third purchase (33%) glass packaging from Berlin Packaging, nearly two-in-ten acquire it from Verallia SA (17%) or Vetropack Group (16%).
