TARGET POPULATION
For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 50 senior executives working within the cinema industry across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and US. This is the second iteration in this tracker series.
What will you learn from this survey?
- Respondents discussed the current operational concerns within the space, such as expenses and future outlook.
- Furthermore, the survey also looked into the likelihood of cinemas investing in luxury theatre amenities within the upcoming years.
- Lastly, the research gathered the experts’ views on the factors that will help drive overall theatrical attendance in the coming years (2024-2025).
Example of findings:
- In December 2023, almost half of the respondents (47%) stated that ‘same-store’ attendance has increased since pre-COVID-19 levels.
- Over half of the experts (57%) remain confident that affordable prices will remain the driving factor for overall theatrical attendance.
- 93% respondents agreed that their maintenance cost will increase by 1-6% over the coming 2 years.
DELIVERABLES
The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Mel Alcock, Chairman – Advisor at British Board Of Film Classification.
The standard deliverable includes:
- 1 x Individual responses (“raw data”) in Excel.
- 1 x PPT report with aggregated data.
- Executive summary with key takeaways and highlights from the raw data.
