TARGET POPULATION
GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working with battery recycling companies across US, Europe, MENA and Asia.
What will you learn from this survey?
- The survey looked into the current perceptions, future prospects and profitability of the battery recycling industry.
- Respondents evaluated the battery collection process, the costs associated with it and where the responsibility of collection should fall.
- Furthermore, the survey also covered the various materials used in the recycling process and the costs attributed to these, as well as the current and future refurbishment trends across various regions, deep diving into the factors in favour and against it.
Example of findings:
- Majority of experts (43%) are expecting to see some profit from the industry by 2030.
- Over one-third (37%) of experts believe that OEMs should be responsible for the collection of batteries for recycling.
- One-in-three (29%) respondents believe that access to strategic materials/security of supply is the main demand driver of EV Battery Recycling.
DELIVERABLES
The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Wim Cambien, former Development and Contract Manager for Battery Recycling, Umicore.
The standard deliverable includes:
- 1 x Individual responses (“raw data”) in Excel.
- 1 x PPT report with aggregated data.
- Executive summary with key takeaways and highlights from the raw data.
