About the Team
Join our dynamic Southeast Asia Private Markets team of 9 professionals based in Singapore. You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Client Solutions, Private Markets, and work across functions, teams, and geographies to serve leading PE/VC clients across the region.
Job Summary
We’re seeking an Associate to help us drive ambitious growth by delighting our private market clients across Southeast Asia. In this role, you’ll have direct exposure to leading private equity and venture capital investors across APAC while connecting them with world-class experts across industries—an unparalleled opportunity to build your network and deepen your understanding of investment decision-making.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Execute time-sensitive projects to support GLG’s clients in making informed investment decisions. Analyze client requests, build and qualify primary populations of topic experts, and deliver insights that directly impact investment theses.
- Develop relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders across sectors. Recruit new senior executives and leading consultants into the GLG Councils through research, networking, and direct outreach.
- Organize and host client event programming, including small group conversations between GLG Network Members and clients, and coordinate private meetings at client offices.
- Grow GLG client relationships by engaging directly with leading investment professionals across APAC through in-person meetings, project execution, and ongoing interactions.
- Collaborate closely with overseas account teams to implement account plans to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction.
Requirement
- Business-level fluency (written and oral) in English and at least one of the following: Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese (additional language capabilities are highly valued) as this role will work with clients and counterparts from China/ Seoul Korea/ Japan.
- Client-first mentality and flexibility to accommodate urgent requests and global schedules
- Confident, proactive communication style with comfort building relationships via phone, video, and in-person—this role requires extensive outreach and relationship-building
- 1-3 years of work experience in client-facing roles in relevant industries such as banking, business services, consultancies, financial services, or startup environments
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

- Curious about financial markets, including emerging trends and investment opportunities
- Passionate about problem-solving in a client service environment
- Able to write, speak, and present succinctly to deliver investment theses and ideas
- Strong in multitasking and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
