Senior Associate, Finance (APAC)

Job Summary

GLG is seeking an (Senior) Associate to join the Finance team to partner with our APAC business leaders to accelerate top and bottom-line growth and drive strategy initiatives across our business units.  This position will be an important team member in the Financial Planning and Analysis team within the APAC Finance function.  This individual will be located in our Hong Kong office and report to the Manager, Finance.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who demonstrates strong learning agility, communications skills, and ability to work with stakeholders across different functions and locations; is a strong self-starter with solid analytical and critical thinking capabilities; and has a get-things-done attitude.  

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Weekly Revenue Outlook –Keep track of bottoms-up revenue build and advise weekly revenue outlook for current month and quarter in APAC region. Communication with HQ on weekly revenue outlook.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting – Prepare and consolidate templates of revenue, cost and SG&A expenses in support of preparation of quarterly forecast and budgeting process
  • Financial analysis – assist in varies analysis to support business decisions
  • Reporting and Data accuracy – Collaborate closely with Reporting & Analytics team to ensure reporting accuracy. Perform analyses to monitor business performance, and address other financial and operational questions.  Communicate with Accounting team to ensure month-end close for Revenue accruals/reversals are accurate.
  • Monday Morning Meetings –Consolidate presentation materials from multiple departments and in charge of the presentation flow, including presenting the pipeline management and financial performance.
  • Finance Operations Support – Investigate and respond to queries from Business Development Team and Accounting Team in regards to finance related matters.
  • Presentations – Assist with the production of periodic financial reporting materials and PowerPoint presentations.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree or higher from a top tier university
  • Relevant work experience in regional or in-country FP&A support
  • Devotion to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency, and data integrity
  • Strong communications and inter-personal skills
  • Strong service-oriented attitude to support business leaders and team members to drive accuracy and business performance
  • Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with SQL preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in English is required.  Fluent Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
