TARGET POPULATION

GLG surveyed 70 executives from testing, inspection and certification companies across the US and Europe (UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain). This is the second iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • The survey looked into the overview of the industry in terms of current market scenario, future outlook and growth projections.
  • The survey investigated the perception of artificial intelligence as a risk and profit opportunity for the industry in the coming years, and also looked into the industry’s preparedness to face the challenges of AI.
  • Furthermore, the survey explored the competitive landscape in the industry in terms of major players and their respective strengths, as well as the overall level of competitive pressure in the industry.

Examples of findings:

  • Over half (53%) of respondents stated that 2023 saw an industry growth ranging from 4% to 6%.
  • Nearly half (49%) of respondents consider Bureau Veritas as the main player in the industry.
  • Less than one-third (31%) agree or strongly agree that client stickiness will decrease in the next 3 years, meanwhile, nearly four-in-ten (39%) respondents agree or strongly agree that client stickiness has eroded over the past 3 years.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Emmanuel-Jean Petit, former CEO at Apave International.
