TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 ophthalmic surgeons working across the US and Europe (UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the latest technological developments and increasing demands for ophthalmic products and services.
  • The survey also gained insights into the opportunities in AI integration, robotics and supply chain innovations along with an outlook for the next 5 years.
  • Lastly, the experts shared their views on the competitive landscape of companies providing ophthalmic surgical devices, assessing the major players on the basis of research and development, product portfolio and quality of products.

Examples of findings:

  • Over half of EU respondents (52%) believe that medical device regulations could lead to better quality devices but at a slower rate of development.
  • Over half of respondents (53%) expect a potential development in gene therapy over the next 5 years.
  • Nearly four-in-ten respondents (39%) stated that shunts are extremely effective when compared to traditional glaucoma surgeries, in terms of outcomes and recovery.

Deliverables
