TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 50 senior executives working at telecom companies in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. This is the sixth iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the trends in the industry including fibre roll-out, 5G, innovation challenges and regulatory trends.
  • The survey gathered a competitive assessment of the biggest telecom players in Europe.
  • Lastly, the research gathered the experts’ views on the future of the industry, including market development outlook, growth potential, and further consolidation in the space.

Examples of findings:

  • Over half of respondents (54%) believe the lack of perceived economic forward stability could hinder consolidation in the market.
  • Over one-in-five respondents (22%) believe that IT has the highest growth potential in B2B markets in the next 12 months.
  • Close to three-in-ten (28%) continue to consider Deutsche Telekom as the biggest player in the telecom market.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Thomas Engelbertz, former CEO of Internet of Things (IoT) – Consumer at Vodafone.
