TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 customers of construction telematics across US, UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the past, current and future usage of construction telematics in their fleet, type of telematics used and typical path to purchase.
  • Further, the research gathered insights on the competitive landscape in the industry, including the telematics providers currently used, level of satisfaction, likelihood to recommend, and best providers based on brand image, features and quality.
  • Lastly, the survey looked into the current customer perceptions about construction telematics including benefits, downsides, areas of improvement, and likelihood to stop using telematics in the next 3 years.

Examples of findings:

  • Over eight-in-ten (84%) respondents stated that equipment diagnostics is the most used type of telematic solution in the industry.
  • Caterpillar is the most used telematic vendor as stated by close to six-in-ten (57%) respondents.
  • Close to half (49%) of respondents stated they are extremely unlikely to stop using telematics in the next 3 years.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Jeffrey Cohen, CRO at IntelliShift.
