TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 50 senior executives from building material companies across the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. This is the second iteration in this tracker series.

 

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the current volume and pricing of construction materials as well as the future outlook.
  • The research gathered experts’ views on the insulation materials market, looking into the current and future levels of demand and pricing, as well as expected trend regarding natural insulation.
  • Lastly, the survey captured the competitive landscape in the insulation market, assessing the major players in the market on the basis of cost, pricing, availability of products and product performance & quality.

 

Examples of findings:

  • Over eight-in-ten anticipate (82%) an increase in the demand for natural insulation materials over the next 5 years.
  • Over one-in-two expect an increase in prices for construction materials like gypsum/drywall products (56%), insulation (54%), roofing (56%) and bricks and mortars (54%) over the next 2 years.
  • Isover is regarded as the top insulation manufacturer across service (62%), pricing (52%), and product availability (64%), whereas Rockwool is regarded as the top insulation manufacturer across product performance & quality (58%).

 

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Michael Woertler, former CEO Construction Products Germany and Austria at Saint-Gobain.
