TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 automotive OEMs across US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain). This is the seventh iteration in this series.

 

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the supply and distribution challenges currently faced by the industry, as well as the demand outlook, including opportunities for revenue growth.
  • The survey investigated the electrification trends in the automotive market, the respondents’ projections for the same in short and medium term, as well as outlook on autonomous driving, infotainment systems and software defined vehicles.
  • Lastly, experts provided a competitive assessment of OEM players such as Aston Martin, Audi, Tesla, BMW, Ford, and Mercedes.

 

Examples of findings:

  • Close to six-in-ten (59%) respondents stated that tariffs are impacting production, while product development is most impacted by issues in sourcing material/parts, although 44% reported that interest rates are a main factor affecting demand.
  • Nearly eight-in-ten (77%) experts believe that new business models is one of the biggest opportunity for to OEMs to increase revenue.
  • 66% of respondents expect an increase of gross revenue for 2025 compared to 2024.

 

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Marios Zenios, former Vice President – Engineering at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V.
