He has also advised governments on long-term economic planning, including authoring Cambodia’s “Vision 2030,” and previously held academic roles at Monash University in Australia.

Jayant Menon, Senior Fellow, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute

Jayant Menon brings years of experience in international economics and trade. He worked with the Asian Development Bank from 1999 to 2020, holding the role of Lead Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist. He was instrumental in driving international trade programs and spearheaded efforts in trade integration. Jayant assisted Cambodia in creating Cambodia Vision 2030. Before his time at ADB, he held academic roles in Australia, such as positions at Monash University. Since 2020, he has been engaged in research focusing on Southeast Asia’s trade and investment at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. He also serves as co-editor of the Journal of Southeast Asian Economies.

Fergus Clarke, GLG Head of APAC Survey

Fergus Clarke leads GLG’s surveys team in APAC which provides quantitative research solutions across the region. He is particularly interested in the application of technology to research and the use of quantitative insights to drive better decision making. Prior to joining GLG, Fergus held senior positions at Kantar and Dynata, and has founded two start-ups leveraging natural language processing to drive business insights. Originally from Ireland, he has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE and London.
