Analyst - Job Description (Compliance)

GLG is currently seeking an Analyst to join our Gurugram, India office within the global Compliance department, comprised of over 70 professionals. This role offers the opportunity to support global client service professionals while allowing for autonomy to develop expertise in the field of risk management.

In addition to developing essential problem solving, time management, risk assessment and interpersonal skills you will contribute to broader compliance initiatives by analysing complex data, regulations, and situations to identify potential risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies while developing effective communication skills.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for work including (but not limited to) the tasks below. 

  • Conducting reviews and approving the facilitation of engagements and other products in line with GLGs Compliance Framework.
  • Providing guidance and support to global client service professionals on compliance-related matters, including answering inquiries and providing clarification on GLG compliance policies.
  • Conduct internet-based research.
  • Monitor geopolitical situations, region-specific compliance protocols and policies, and apply to review strategy.
  • Maintain and conduct in-depth analysis of compliance concerns, identifying trends, providing insights and tie to training needs.

 An ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • A Postgraduate/Graduate with 0 to 4 years in the field of risk advisory, due diligence and compliance or a related field is required. Relevant certifications in Risk Management and/or Compliance & Ethics will be preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong attention to detail.
  • Compliance Analyst often work closely with colleagues across different departments within the organization. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with others, building relationships, and influencing stakeholders to comply with compliance requirements.
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, internet research tools and working knowledge of the Service Cloud platform will be an added advantage.
