Senior Associate, Client Solutions - Healthcare

GLG is seeking a Senior Associate to be part of our Client Solutions Healthcare team in Shanghai in exceeding its commercial, development, compliance and people targets.

In addition, he/she will support and manage research inquiries coming from our client firms based in Shanghai mainly focusing on healthcare / life science industry.

Finally, the Senior Associate will support sales in penetrating our presence, and work with the leadership in developing and implementing business performance improvement initiatives.

Major responsibility

  • Take ownership of a book of multiple client accounts as well as project team focused on healthcare industry to meet and exceed commercial and service targets with best-in-class service and thoughtful solutions.
  • Lead client user outreach, including to identify new users to establish working relationships, and to maintain senior relationships within key accounts.
  • Actively identify and drive upsell opportunities with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Coach and manage junior client solution professionals. Senior Associates are expected to coach associates to develop into fully capable client solution professionals and monitor project deliver qualities by associates within the team.
  • Support new sales by joining critical client meetings and leading execution of capability assessment.
  • Participate in company-level operational and strategic initiatives.

Qualification

  • Major in Pharmacy or Biology is a must.
  • 3-5 Years of experience, ideally in consulting, sales and commercial, headhunting, market research or other professional services. Better to have direct experience in B2B client servicing or account management. Directly worked as or with management consultant is a plus.
  • Strong can-do and result driven attitude with strong execution capability and growth mindset.
  • Successful track record of working in fast paced, client service environment.
  • Passion for problem solving.
  • Experience in coaching and/or managing junior employees or team members.
  • Outstanding collaboration capability to work with cross-team counterparts.
  • Understanding of the business climate. Interest in working across industries subjects ranging from industrials to consumer to healthcare etc.
  • Professional proficient in English and Chinese.
