Disrupting Delivery to Make Online Shopping Better

As technology evolves, there’s one every day experience that lags behind: receiving a delivery or package when you’re not home. The experience is especially frustrating in New York City where “Sorry We Missed You” notices and package theft are common. Jesse Kaplan’s company Parcel hopes to make this problem a thing of the past.

Jesse Kaplan is the Founder and CEO of Parcel, a same-day / last-mile delivery company in New York City. By coordinating evening delivery windows with online shoppers (both directly and via select retail partners), Parcel hand-delivers packages when their recipients are actually home. Offering an unprecedented level of transparency and customer service in the delivery process, Parcel matches the high standards that shoppers already expect from their favorite retailers. Parcel launched in September 2014 and has been featured on networks including Fox Business and MSNBC and in publications including The New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal, and The New York Post. Prior to Parcel, Jesse attended Harvard (’13), where he was the Founder and General Manager of Cabot Café, an on-campus coffee shop and student center that continues operating today.
