GLG Announces 2022 Class of Social Impact Fellows

The world’s insight network partners with 10 social innovators to scale their organizations and impact through flagship pro bono initiative

GLG’s 2022 Fellows are advancing solutions that impact millions of people in every region worldwide, driving change in refugee support, gender equity, criminal justice, mental health, food security, and education.

New York, New York; October 10, 2022 – GLG, the world’s insight network, today announced its new class of Social Impact Fellows, 10 social innovators whose organizations are advancing high-impact solutions to the world’s most urgent challenges. The annual GLG Social Impact Fellowship, now in its ninth year, provides select nonprofits and social enterprises with a two-year pro bono partnership with GLG, including access to the full suite of GLG product offerings and the support of hands-on GLG client service teams.

GLG Social Impact is the company’s award-winning initiative that supports nonprofits, social enterprises, foundations, and philanthropies to help solve the world’s most urgent challenges. Every year, GLG Social Impact provides a combination of direct financial support and in-kind contributions, including pro bono services and Network Member interactions, to hundreds of organizations that cumulatively impact tens of millions of people around the world.

The Social Impact Fellows and their organizations are global in reach, tackling a broad array of critical issues in every region worldwide and impacting millions of people. They are:

  • Nicolas Brown of batyr (Australia), which empowers young people with the confidence, skills, and knowledge to overcome mental health challenges and help their peers do the same.
  • Gina Clayton-Johnson of Essie Justice Group (U.S.), which organizes and advocates for women with incarcerated loved ones and works to overturn laws and policies that disproportionately harm women and communities of color.
  • Robin Ferris of Bankuet (UK), whose digital zero-waste food donation platform is the number one supplier of food and other essential items to food banks in the UK.
  • Emily Galvin Almanza of Partners for Justice (U.S.), which works to increase equity and access to justice across the criminal legal system by transforming public defense into a robust network of dynamic, people-centered service centers.
  • Zarlasht Halaimzai of Amna (Global), which provides identity- and trauma-informed mental and emotional support to refugees and other displaced communities across Europe and South Asia.
  • Rebecca Hope of YLabs (Global), which designs and implements youth-driven solutions that address the biggest opportunities to maximize youth health and economic wellbeing around the world.
  • Dilip Kumar Pattubala of Uninhibited (India), which advances gender equality by de-stigmatizing menstrual health in marginalized communities to help adolescent girls access equitable opportunities.
  • Asher Low of Limitless (Singapore), which supports young people struggling with mental health issues through a variety of programs, including counseling, case work, a helpline, outreach, and public education.
  • Siddhant Sachdeva of Rocket Learning (India), which builds digital communities to advance high-quality early childhood education for low-income children in India in partnership with parents, teachers, and government bodies.
  • Lisa Wang of Almost Fun (U.S.), which empowers marginalized 4th-12th grade students in their math learning through culturally responsive, engaging, and interactive math resources.
