GLG Announces New Class of Social Impact Fellows

Ten social innovators partner with world’s insight network to accelerate their impact

New York, New York; November 17, 2021 – GLG, the world’s insight network, today announced its new class of Social Impact Fellows, 10 social sector leaders advancing innovative solutions to the world’s most urgent problems. The GLG Social Impact Fellowship, now in its eighth year, provides pro bono access to GLG’s platform and full suite of products through a multi-year partnership.

GLG is the world’s insight network, bringing decision makers the insight it takes to get ahead. GLG Social Impact makes available the company’s model and resources to some of the world’s most innovative nonprofits, foundations, philanthropies, and social entrepreneurs. Over the last year alone, GLG has supported over 200 social sector organizations in more than 40 countries. GLG’s network of experts is the world’s largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise, with thousands of new experts recruited every week.

“These ambitious leaders are tackling issues that we as a global community cannot afford to neglect, from public health to education equity and the survival of our planet’s oceans,” said GLG CEO Paul Todd. “We considered more than 100 strong applications, and this group stood out with special potential to leverage GLG’s unique resources and insights. We are proud to welcome this new class and support their critical efforts.”

The Social Impact Fellows and their organizations are global in reach, tackling a broad array of critical issues in every region worldwide. They are:

• Joe Agoada of Sostento (U.S.), which responds to public health emergencies with strategic funding, digital tools, and network organizing
• Aimee Ansari of CLEAR Global (Global), which translates critical materials into marginalized languages
• Tarun Cherukuri of Indus Action (India), which helps families in India access legislated rights, including education, healthcare, and social security
• Aparna Hegde of ARMMAN (India), which improves maternal and child care with training for health workers and information for mothers
• Fion Leung of Time Auction (Hong Kong), which connects people to skills-based volunteer opportunities
• Mona Mourshed of Generation: You Employed (Global), which helps underemployed people prepare for and start new careers
• Swapna Reddy of the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (U.S.), which helps asylum seekers build new lives in the U.S.
• Evin Floyd Robinson of America On Tech (U.S.), which creates pathways for students of color to pursue careers in tech
• Ashwin Vasan of Fountain House (U.S.), which supports people with serious mental illnesses through direct services and advocacy
• Nick Wise of OceanMind (UK), which combines data, AI, and marine expertise to protect the world’s oceans
