GLG Names Evan Auyang Head of Asia-Pacific Business

Hong Kong; March 4, 2016 — GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.) today announced that Evan Auyang will join the company as Head of Asia-Pacific and Managing Director, overseeing all of the company’s business in the region and joining its senior management team. GLG is the world’s largest platform for professional learning and expertise, providing clients across fields the targeted connections they need to learn, make decisions, and grow. GLG, headquartered in New York City, has been doing business in Asia for over ten years and has expanded to ten offices across the region. Auyang will be based in Hong Kong.

Auyang brings to GLG more than 20 years of experience at the highest levels of international business in Asia and especially in his native Greater China. Since 2009 he has been the Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director of the Board of Transport International Holdings, a prominent Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed company with businesses spanning bus services, media, real estate, and China JVs, including the flagship Kowloon Motor Bus Company. Auyang was previously an associate partner at McKinsey & Company and worked at Citigroup and Bankers Trust Company in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Auyang, born in Hong Kong, received his undergraduate degree in finance from Brown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Additionally, he sits on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the board of the independent think tank Civic Exchange as well as several other civic, academic, and nonprofit organizations.

Other key leaders of GLG’s Asia-Pacific business continue to be Matthew Creedon, Managing Director for Business Development, and Mark Blick, Managing Director for Research. Creedon joined GLG in New York City in 2004 and developed and led two research practice areas before moving to Hong Kong in 2007 to scale the operation across the region. Blick has been a leader in GLG’s Asia-Pacific team since 2008, joining to lead the Energy and Industrials practice.
