TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 game designers/developers, and AI engineers working in the video game industry across US and Europe (UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents shared their insights on the latest AI tools/software they are using and the verticals in which these tools are being applied.
  • The survey gathered a competitive assessment of the companies that have successfully used AI in game development and provided their monthly budget for AI subscriptions.
  • Lastly, the research gathered experts’ views on the gaming segment most impacted by AI integration and how further AI integration will affect revenue in the next two years.

Examples of findings:

  • Almost nine-in-ten (89%) experts reported that AI is being used in their organization for sound/audio/music.
  • 31% of respondents reported that virtual & augmented reality is the segment most impacted by AI integration.
  • Eight-in-ten (80%) respondents anticipate an increase in their annual budget for AI subscription services by under 20%.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Jason Kaehler, former Senior Art Director at Electronics Arts Inc.
