GLG Welcomes Stephan Bosshart and Eddie Kong to Asia-Pacific Leadership Team

Hong Kong; January 9, 2017 — GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.) today announced that Stephan Bosshart and Eddie Kong have joined GLG’s APAC Leadership team. GLG has been doing business in Asia for more than ten years and has expanded to ten offices across APAC.

Stephan Bosshart joins GLG as Managing Director and Head of China. Prior to GLG, Bosshart was Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank, where he oversaw Commercial Banking in Eastern China. Earlier in his career, Bosshart (fluent in Mandarin and written Chinese) was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, serving financial services clients across Greater China.

Eddie Kong joins GLG as Managing Director and Head of Operations, APAC. Most recently, Kong served as Chief Operating Officer at Babylon Education, where he managed and developed new schools in Hong Kong. From 2013 to 2016, Kong was the Head of Operations Development at The Kowloon Motor Bus Company. Kong spent several years at McKinsey & Co. after beginning his career at Cathay Pacific Airways.

Bosshart and Kong will join GLG’s APAC leadership, alongside Evan Auyang, Head of Asia-Pacific and Managing Director; Matthew Creedon, Managing Director for Business Development; and Mark Blick, Managing Director for Research. Auyang joined GLG in March 2016, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience at the highest levels of international business in Asia – especially in his native Greater China. Creedon joined GLG in New York City in 2004, where he developed and led two research practice areas before moving to Hong Kong in 2007 to scale the operation across the region. Blick has been a leader in GLG’s Asia-Pacific team since 2008, joining to lead the Energy and Industrials practice.
