Sr. Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Cloud operations, server management (Linux and Windows), deployment automation, DNS, and security
- Manage and maintain company mail flow (Office 365, Mimecast, Mailgun and client-related email flows)
- Develop, maintain, and administer cutting-edge infrastructure deployment tools
- Take part in core infrastructure projects
- Analysis of complex system behavior, performance, and application issues
- Assist in the team’s ticket resolution workload, including escalations from the internal support team
- Participate in the On-Call 24/7 support rotation for infrastructure needs
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7+ years’ experience as a Windows systems admin/engineer
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with proven experience interacting with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to guide and mentor less experienced team members
- Experience working with, and strong command of Microsoft Active Directory
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, O365, Amazon Web Services
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware
- Strong command of PowerShell. VBS and/or bash is a bonus
- Advanced knowledge of end-to-end Mail flow including: O365, DNS (mx, spf, a, etc.), filtering, archiving, retention and spam prevention
- Experience with software deployment: Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Power Automate, and building packages for deployment using industry standard tools
- Must be familiar with fundamental networking and distributed computing environment concepts
- Must have proven experience with security principles and practices
- Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
- BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of firewalls, email and web filtering, antivirus, and encryption technologies is a plus
