Position Overview:
GLG is seeking a Greater China-based Associate to support clients. Associates help to drive GLG’s business model and develop their segments client base through close coordination with members of the research team and working with clients to fulfill their primary research needs.
Location: Shanghai/ Beijing/ Shenzhen/ Hong Kong
Key Responsibilities:
GLG Associate is responsible for:
- Support the client facing team. The Associate will provide project support to the client facing team who manage multiple projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Facilitating educational interactions between GLG Network Members and our clients, enable our clients to make more informed and confident investment decisions. The Associate is tasked with fulfilling time sensitive research requests by analyzing client requests and building and qualifying primary populations of topic experts. Most GLG client/expert interactions consist of telephone consultations but also may consist of surveys, reports, and other in-depth engagements.
- Working towards growing GLG client relationships. The Associate will be working towards gaining responsibility of developing and maintaining relationships with GLG clients, who are primarily leading investment professionals in China. This relationship development will stem from in-person client meetings, project execution, and day-to-day interactions.
- Programming events. The Associate is encouraged to organize and host small group live conversations with leading experts to share insights on industry trends and hot topics, including roundtables, seminars, teleconferences, webcasts etc.
- Team-wide collaboration. The Associate is expected to work closely with our Business Development team, Council Development team, Project Support team and other research professionals to deliver quality and thoughtful services to clients.

- Interest in financial industry
- Bachelor’s degree, or above
- Working towards growing GLG client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in written English
- 0-3 years of work experience in client-facing, account management or analyst roles in relevant industries such as banking, business services, market research, consultancies and financial services, etc. plus significant ongoing curiosity about trends and personalities in the project-related sector
- Demonstrated performance and business judgment
- Successful track record working in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
