GLG Wins Recognition in Fast Company’s 2022 “World Changing Ideas” Awards

GLG’s “Insights with Impact” report, focused on mitigating implicit racial bias in U.S. healthcare, awarded honorable mention in Pandemic Response category

New York, New York; May 3, 2022 – GLG, the world’s insight network, has been recognized by Fast Company’s 2022 “World Changing Ideas Awards” for its “Insights with Impact” report, which convened experts to create a roadmap for organizations to mitigate implicit racial bias in U.S. healthcare. The report won honorable mention in the Pandemic Response category, and will be commemorated in Fast Company’s summer issue, on newsstands May 10.

The effort and report was spearheaded by GLG Social Impact, the company’s award-winning initiative that supports nonprofits, social enterprises, foundations, and philanthropies to help solve the world’s most urgent challenges. In 2020, GLG was honored by Fast Company’s “World Changing Ideas Awards” for its Social Impact Partners Program, which empowers all GLG employees to nominate a nonprofit for pro bono GLG support.

“GLG’s purpose is to get decision makers the right expertise to solve their greatest challenges – which is why we’ve mobilized our resources throughout the pandemic toward helping to identify solutions,” said GLG CEO Paul Todd. “This report is one of many ways that we’ve worked with organizations across sectors to leverage the insights of our experts to promote public health.”

Fast Company recognized GLG’s “Insights with Impact” report for its ingenuity, scalability, and potential for impact. In response to the racial disparities in health outcomes from COVID-19 and in healthcare more broadly, GLG convened experts with decades of experience in public health, healthcare, and racial equity advocacy to collaboratively create a roadmap for organizations to diagnose, measure, and combat the effects of implicit racial bias on health outcomes. GLG then hosted a virtual roundtable discussion open to other experts and policymakers featuring the panelists, and publicly shared the report.

“The report’s findings have implications not only on the fairness of systems underpinning our society, but on people’s lives and well-being,” said Head of GLG Social Impact Jen Field. “We’re grateful to the GLGers and experts who worked on this project, and we’re honored to be recognized alongside great company.”
