GLG Social Impact Report Provides Roadmap for Organizations to Mitigate Bias in Hiring

The second installment in GLG’s award-winning “Insights with Impact” series, the report convened leading experts to outline strategies for organizations to reduce bias throughout their hiring processes
New York, New York; February 13, 2023 – GLG, the world’s insight network, today released its second “Insights with Impact” report, which provides a roadmap for organizations to mitigate unconscious racial bias in hiring. Spearheaded by GLG Social Impact, the report convened GLG Network Members (experts) with decades of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion and talent acquisition to collaboratively outline strategies that organizations can implement immediately to reduce bias throughout their hiring processes.
The resulting roadmap details tactics to drive change, including establishing standardized and data-centric hiring processes, focusing exclusively on skills and competencies when evaluating candidates, and enforcing both organizational and individual accountability for DE&I goals.

For this project, GLG Social Impact convened nine leading experts for a series of moderated discussions on the dynamics of unconscious bias in hiring, and then collaborated with Network Members to write the report based on the insights shared by the panelists. The report is the second installment in GLG’s “Insights with Impact” series, which brings the power of expert insight to urgent social challenges. The first report, which focused on implicit racial bias in U.S. healthcare, won recognition in Fast Company’s 2022 “World Changing Ideas Awards” for its ingenuity, scalability, and potential for impact.
