New York, New York; October 22, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0GLG<\/a>\u00a0(Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.) today announced its sixth class of GLG Social Impact Fellows \u2013 social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders who will receive no-cost access to GLG\u2019s platform. The nine new Fellows lead organizations addressing some of the world\u2019s most pressing challenges, from early childhood literacy in India to sustainable agriculture in Vietnam to mental health in the United States.<\/p>\n

Avery Bang<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 President and CEO,\u00a0Bridges to Prosperity<\/a>; Rwanda, Uganda, and Bolivia; works with local communities, partners, and foundations to build footbridges that connect rural residents to education, health care, and economic opportunity.<\/p>\n

Curt Bowen<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Executive Director,\u00a0Semilla Nueva<\/a>; Guatemala; fights malnutrition by collaborating with communities, NGOs, and governmental agencies to develop and expand the use of locally produced and nutritious biofortified corn.<\/p>\n

Charles Daniels<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Co-Founder and CEO,\u00a0Fathers\u2019 Uplift<\/a>; the United States; supports fathers with therapeutic interventions to overcome emotional and addiction-based issues so they can be positively and sustainably engaged in their children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

Giffin Daughtridge<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Co-Founder and CEO,\u00a0UrSure<\/a>; the United States; patient-friendly diagnostic tests that measure and improve adherence to medications, including a urine test that tracks patient adherence to PrEP, which prevents transmission of HIV.<\/p>\n

Carolyn Edelstein<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Executive Director,\u00a0OpenBiome<\/a>; the United States; a nonprofit stool bank focused on expanding safe access to fecal transplants and catalyzing research on the human microbiome,\u00a0 founded by a team of doctors, scientists, and public health advocates.<\/p>\n

Tatiana Garcia-Granados<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer,\u00a0The Common Market<\/a>; the United States; connects communities with food from sustainable family farms, improving food security, farm viability, and community and ecological health.<\/p>\n

Cristi Hegranes<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Publisher and CEO,\u00a0Global Press<\/a>; Global; trains and employs local journalists to produce news coverage from the world\u2019s least-covered places.<\/p>\n

Sneha Sheth<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Co-Founder and CEO,\u00a0Dost Education<\/a>; India; works with parents of any literacy level to support their children\u2019s early learning, through podcasts delivered by phone, a parent coaching hotline, and community-based workshops.<\/p>\n

Trang Tran<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Founder and CEO,\u00a0Fargreen<\/a>; Vietnam; increasing farmers\u2019 income and reducing environmental harm with a no waste production process for rice straw to grow mushrooms and biofertilizers.<\/p>\n
