Fergus Clarke, APAC Head of Surveys at GLG, will share findings from a recent survey highlighting key trends shaping semiconductor design and fabrication. Respondents noted a shift toward greater specialization and emphasized the importance of software ecosystems in a fragmented hardware landscape. While the supply chain has rebounded since the pandemic, ongoing global changes and a focus on sustainability present strategic challenges for firms seeking to capitalize on market opportunities.

Speakers’ Bio :

Fergus Clarke, Head of APAC Surveys at GLG

Fergus Clarke leads GLG’s surveys team in APAC which provides quantitative research solutions across the region. He is particularly interested in the application of technology to research and the use of quantitative insights to drive better decision making.

Prior to joining GLG, Fergus held senior positions at Kantar and Dynata, and has founded two start-ups leveraging natural language processing to drive business insights. Originally from Ireland, he has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE and London.

Former Director, Business Process Management and Senior Director, Distribution Business Management at STMicroelectronics (2016 – 2023)

Atul Shah is 36-year veteran of STMicroelectronics (1987 – 2023), where he held numerous leadersip positions, including Director, Business Process Management (2021 – 2023), where he led an overall systems re-organization and revised approach to managing STM’s distributors in the newly created China & APeC (Asia-Pacific excluding China) Sales & Marketing regions, and Senior Director, Distribution Business Management (2016 – 2021), where he led the Distribution Business Management team that supported all Distribution activity ($2.8b) in Asia-Pacific. Atul was also Senior Director, Electronic Manufacturing Services (2007 – 2015) and Group VP, IT Regional & Local Organizations (2004 – 2006). He currently serves as an independent consultant.
