SURVEY DETAILS
TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 50 senior executives working in the automotive manufacturing industry (OEMs) across Europe (UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents shared insights into the European automotive supplier landscape, including turnover in the US market, revenue dependence on US business, and the operational impact of recent US tariffs.
  • Furthermore, the survey examined challenges such as supply chain disruptions, sourcing complexities in steel, aluminium, and e-components, and strategic responses like supplier diversification and contract renegotiations.
  • Lastly, the research explored expectations for future demand trends, market weakening, and revenue outlook over the next few years in light of ongoing tariff pressures and EV policy changes.

Examples of findings:

  • More than half of the respondents (52%) think that the increased EV tariffs and subsidy reduction will slow down the shift towards electric vehicles.
  • Nearly six-in-ten (58%) are seeking alternative suppliers as a response strategy to address these tariffs.
  • Close to one-third of respondents (32%) believe that the rising production costs are the biggest threat to European automotive suppliers over the next 3 years.
