TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working in the orthopaedic manufacturing industry (OEMs) across US and Europe (UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France).

 

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents shared insights into the CDMO outsourcing landscape, including drivers such as the need to accelerate time-to-market, typical outsourcing volumes, expected pricing trends, regulatory influences from OEMs, and the geographic distribution of outsourced manufacturing.
  • Furthermore, the survey examined challenges, trends, and key drivers of industry growth, such as the impact of tariffs and trade barriers, contract shifts to tariff-free regions, renegotiation of CDMO agreements, and expectations around market consolidation.
  • Lastly, the research looked at the competitive landscape, comparing brands based on product quality, order fulfilment capacity, pricing transparency, supply chain strength, manufacturing capabilities, and production scale.

 

Examples of findings:

  • Over four-in-ten (43%) believe that there will be a significant entry of new and emerging CDMOs into the market.
  • Nearly two-thirds (64%) expect a slightly higher pricing in CDMO services over the next 1 to 5 years.
  • Almost two-in-three respondents (64%) stated that manufacturing contracts will shift to CDMOs in tariff-free regions.

 

Deliverables
