For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 20 senior executives working in the utility infrastructure service industry in the United Kingdom.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the areas under utility services (telecom, energy, water), where most of the business comes from, and discussed the latest technologies offered like smart metering.
  • The survey also discussed how advancements in AI can help enhance future resilience and identify changing customer behaviour for the users of utility infrastructure services.
  • Lastly, the research looked into the key turnover and growth opportunities, and the percentage of the organization’s budget allocated for renewable energy and R&D for new technologies.

Examples of findings:

  • 75% of respondents stated that analysing the impact of population growth on network infrastructure is a good strategy to enhance resilience of AI technology for utility service users.
  • Over half of experts (55%) agree that having good connectivity with the Ofgem regulator is extremely important.
  • 40% of experts foresee a slight consolidation in the market in the next 5 years, and 65% stated that by 2030 the utility infrastructure market will increase by less than 20%.

Deliverables
