TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working within the financial services industry (users of tax management software) in the US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents shared insights into the tax management software landscape, including key software usage trends, enterprise adoption, and essential features such as reporting, analytics, and compliance management.
  • Furthermore, the survey examined the role of AI and automation in transforming the industry, exploring their impact on tax audit support, workflow automation, and the relevance of conventional software.
  • Lastly, the research looked at the competitive landscape, comparing industry trends based on the level of security, technology and innovation, automation of tax workflows, value for money, customization of software and regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.

Examples of findings:

  • Two-third (66%) of respondents stated that building brand trust and reputation is one of the main challenges faced by new entrants.
  • Close to four-in-ten (37%) believe that AI is diminishing the relevance of conventional software to a moderate extent.
  • Close to half of respondents (47%) reported that recent tax code (digital services tax) changes have a positive impact on tax software companies.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Greg Steinlicht, former Vice President – Tax and Financial Products at H&R Block.
