GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working in logistics, marketing, sales and operations from different industries across the US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the current use of recycled plastic in packaging, its impact on sales, brand image and customer loyalty, and current customer preference for use of recycled plastic in packaging.
  • The survey also investigated the issues associated with using recycled plastic in packaging including costs, key challenges, government regulations, supply scenario and level of effort required to switch to recycled plastic.
  • Lastly, the research looked into the competitive landscape in the industry, comparing the suppliers of recycled plastic on the basis of price, product quality, supply consistency, and technical services & capabilities.

Examples of findings:

  • Over six-in-ten (61%) experts stated that sales after using recycled plastic in packaging have remained stable, just over one-in-five (21%) stated an increase of less than 10%.
  • Six-in-ten (60%) experts reported that recycled plastic is more expensive than virgin plastic.
  • Veolia is regarded as the top vendor in terms of price (24%), product quality (26%), supply consistency (27%), and technical services & capabilities (23%).

Deliverables
