GLG surveyed 70 senior executives, working at car dealerships across the US, UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents provided a competitive assessment of online platforms such as Autotrader, Carsnip, Carzoo, CarShop, Carwow, Cinch, Carzam, Carvana and Carmax.
  • The survey explored the change in advertising prices charged by online platforms as well as changes in the advertising budget for dealerships.
  • Lastly, the research looked into the key criteria used for choosing an online car platform as well as the performance of car sales over the past few years.

Examples of findings:

  • Around one-in-two (52%) respondents agree that the number of cars listed for sale is one of the most important criteria when choosing an online car platform.
  • Over one-in-ten (12%) respondents reported experiencing price changes for AutoTrader.
  • With an average of USD 3,535 per month, AutoTrader is placed first as the online platform with the highest spend.

Deliverables
