TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working in energy and utilities, technology and cloud services, and the telecommunications industry in the US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents shared insights on the current and projected demand for liquid cooling technology in data centres, AI, and HPC workloads, the percentage of racks using liquid cooling, and average rack power density supported.
  • The survey explored the key motivations and challenges in adopting liquid cooling, including sustainability considerations and ROI perceptions.
  • Lastly, the respondents discussed the rack density at which liquid cooling will be most effective and the trends likely to accelerate its adoption over the next 3 years.

Examples of findings:

  • Over one-in-four (25%) of respondents expect the rack density of 40-49.9 kW per rack will be the most effective range for liquid cooling.
  • 40% of experts stated that reusing captured heat is moderately important as part of their sustainability strategy.
  • 90% of experts familiar with Submer associated it with immersion cooling leadership, while 81% of those familiar with Schneider Electric believe it has strong OEM partnerships and large-scale enterprise deployment capabilities.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Jose Ramirez, current Chief Technological Officer of CTS Nordics.
