TARGET POPULATION

GLG surveyed 2000 sports betting and gambling consumers across the US and Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy). This is the second iteration in this series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed their frequency of sports betting and gambling, criteria for selecting providers as well as how COVID-19 impacted their playing levels.
  • The survey also captured a competitive assessment of various sports betting and gambling providers such as William Hill, Ladbrokes, Coral, Betfair etc.
  • Lastly, consumers commented on how various regulations impacted their playing levels and whether or not they are thinking of switching accounts to other providers.

Examples of findings:

  • Draft Kings (30%) and Bet365 (31%) are among most used and recognized brands across all vendors in terms of iGambling.
  • With almost four-in-ten customers selecting affordability (46%), it remains the most important factor affecting playing levels.
  • One-in-ten customers (10%) are likely to recommend Bet365 to friends, Draft Kings follows behind with under one-in-ten (8%) selecting it.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Philip Bowcock, former Group CEO at William Hill plc.

  • Executive summary with key takeaways and highlights from the raw data.

Please note that some respondents may not be Network Members, and the Terms and Conditions of Network Membership would not apply to such respondents and detailed records for them will not be available aside from the information that GLG capture in the Network Survey.
