TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 100 senior executives who are users of payment platforms in their business‚ÄØacross Europe, US, and the MENA region. This is the sixth iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • The survey revisited the Fintech payments landscape, assessing use, key concerns, and consideration of the various vendors such as‚ÄØPayPal, Apple, and Stripe.
  • Furthermore, the survey investigated the adoption of “Buy Now, Pay Later” solutions, the potential integration of this, and the timeline for doing so.
  • Lastly, respondents evaluated the expected developments in the payment sector over the next couple of years including regulatory changes, market consolidation, and use of artificial intelligence.

Examples of findings:

  • 27% of the respondents are currently offering a BNPL solution, while 28% are not offering one but plan to do so in the future. Among those planning to introduce it, 39% intend to do so in H2 2025.
  • PayPal continues to be the company having the biggest impact on the payment sector over the last 3 years, according to 31% of the experts.
  • 63% stated that data privacy and cybersecurity are the most concerning areas of payment regulations. Additionally, 30% mentioned that payment fee is expected to decrease by less than 10% over the next 5 years.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Daniela Sozzi, Board Advisor and Strategy Consultant at DNYC Ltd.
