TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 100 deans and professors who discussed the latest trends for educational technology in the US, Europe, MENA, Australia and New Zealand. This is the seventh iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the Content Management System, Learning Management System, and Student Information System their institution is using and whether it was easy for them to adapt to the new studying environment.
  • The survey covered insights into digital learning tools used in the classroom and how they provide 360-degree experience for both teachers and students.
  • Lastly, the research looked into the budget allocated for implementing educational technology in institutions.

Examples of findings:

  • Close to seven-in-ten (68%) respondents declared the main reason for using digital learning tools is to take tests or quizzes.
  • Over three-in-five (62%) experts agree that the major issue that concerns them regarding technology is that it promotes cheating.
  • Close to three-in-ten (28%) experts agree that one of the biggest barriers to increasing the use of EdTech inside the classroom is that teachers are not trained.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Danny Zeibert, former Chief Product and Development Officer at SchoolMint.
