TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 senior executives from veterinary companies across US and Europe (UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents commented on the overview of the animal health market including the growth of the industry, factors driving growth and the current split of sales through different channels.
  • The research also looked into the current trends in the animal health market including the customer segments expected to grow, impact of e-commerce, impact of recent consolidations, preference for third party vs in house manufacturing, distribution trends by manufacturers, changes in pricing, etc.
  • Lastly, the survey gathered views on the future outlook of the industry in terms of consolidation, changes in pricing, sales channels expected to grow the most as well as top animal health companies in terms of expected revenue.

Examples of findings:

  • Close to half (47%) of the animal health product sales are done through veterinary clinics.
  • Over four-in-ten respondents reported seeing a slight increase in frequency (43%) and size of purchases (47%) by pet owners during the past 1 year.
  • Over eight-in-ten (84%) experts anticipate an increase of under 20% in prices of animal health products in the next 3 years.
