GLG surveyed 70 IT professionals working in the engineering, architecture and construction industry across the US and Europe (UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy).

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the current level of AI usage in engineering, architecture and construction industry.
  • The survey also gathered insights into the ROI calculation of investments made in AI platforms and strategies to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Lastly, the respondents discussed about the use and integration of AI into their design workflow and the scope of AI in the next 10 year in their industry sector.

Examples of findings:

  • Two-thirds are currently using Google Cloud AI platform, while just over half use IBM Watson.
  • Over seven-in-ten (73%) consider productivity improvements and increased quality and accuracy as an important factor and metric to measure AI spend ROI.
  • Three-in-ten respondents stated that ‘generative design and optimization’ is the most notable trend currently regarding AI solution.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, William Fong, former Global Solution Strategy Director – AI Digital Transformation at Microsoft.

This survey is available to subscribers of the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sector (Limited subscriptions and above). This offer includes the raw data file and a high-level presentation through PowerPoint. Please contact your GLG representative for details on your firm’s access.

Please note that some respondents may not be Network Members, and the Terms and Conditions of Network Membership would not apply to such respondents and detailed records for them will not be available aside from the information that GLG capture in the Network Survey.
