TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 80 senior executives who are decision makers for selection of Accounting Software providers in their organisation across US, Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain) and Australia. This is the fourth iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • The survey explored the competitive landscape in the accounting software market, assessing different software solutions on factors like ease of set up and use, likelihood to recommend, value for money, sale support, etc.
  • Furthermore, the survey looked into the value that accounting software solutions bring to the company, as well as the likelihood of adoption of cloud solutions in the future.
  • Lastly, the research captured respondent’s switching intentions for the future, including the vendors which they are likely to switch to, as well as the difficulties faced while switching.

Examples of findings:

  • Over two-in-three experts agree that reporting (68%) and ease of use (66%) are the most important functionalities in their accounting software.
  • Three-in-five (60%) respondents are satisfied with the pricing of their accounting software and declared that such pricing meets their business requirement.
  • Among those likely or extremely likely to change vendors (28%), Microsoft Dynamics (29%) and Oracle NetSuite (29%) are the main vendors to which they are most likely to switch to.

Deliverables

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Dan Shakenovsky, former Finance Director – Asia Pacific, Xero Limited.

  • How would you rate the accountancy offerings of your current vendors relative to the other vendors you are aware of?
  • How likely would you change vendors in the next 3 years?
  • To what extent are you knowledgeable about using live accounting experts to help you with your accounting virtually?
