Please complete the form below to request access to the survey data.

GLG interviewed 70 senior executives working within the wind power industry. This is the second iteration of this project, following the first wave conducted in April 2021.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the COVID-19 impact on their operations and purchasing plans for the next years.
  • The survey also covered the competitive landscape of the key OEMs in the market along with the respondents’ projections on the future outlook of the industry.
  • Lastly, the research provided insight into the respondents’ satisfaction with the component warranties they receive from the OEMs.

Examples of findings:

  • In March 2022, 40% of respondents reported their firm delayed the purchases of wind turbines due to COVID-19 in the last 2 years, down by 7% from the figures captured in April 2021.
  • When asked which factors will negatively affect wind power demand growth in the regions they target, 79% of experts mentioned “poor government regulations and permitting issues” followed by “adverse public perception of wind power” (49%).
  • The majority of respondents (83%) consider there should be more transparency with regards to Service/O&M contracts.

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Randall Tinkerman, former Consulting Due Diligence, Offshore Wind Tender Evaluator at the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate in Netherlands.
