TARGET POPULATION
For this Network survey, GLG surveyed 65 senior executives within the hotel industry across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada and US. This is the third iteration in this tracker series.
What will you learn from this survey?
- Hotel managers and owners provided insights into their collaboration with various bedbanks.
- Respondents commented on the importance of bedbanks in the hotel’s strategy (such as Hotelbeds, WebBeds, World 2 meet, HPro Travel).
- This survey also explored bedbanks in terms of commission, technology, level of service and payment terms.
Examples of findings:
- In March 2024, over half of the respondents (56%) stated that bedbank reservations have increased since COVID-19.
- Nearly nine-in-ten would use online travel agencies if the collaboration with bedbanks stopped and three-quarters would use travel agencies.
- 93% respondents agreed that bedbanks are most helpful when filling up the hotels in the off-season.
