SURVEY DETAILS
GLG interviewed 60 senior executives within the Geophysical Services industry in the US and Europe (UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain). This is the second iteration to follow the first from May 2021.
What will you learn from this survey?
- The survey explored the impact of COVID-19 on the geophysical services industry, such as revenue levels and contracts.
- Experts provided their views on the oil price and its resulting demand, alongside other implications for the geophysical services industry.
- Lastly, the research captured respondents’ views on their interest in cloud solutions going forward.
Examples of findings:
- When asked about the impact of COVID-19 on investment towards R&D in the geophysical services industry, 54% of the respondents reported an increase in March 2022, compared to 32% in May 2021.
- 89% of experts stated that cloud storage/computing is a high priority for their company, slight increase from the figures captured in May 2021 (84%).
- In March 2022, 47% of respondents mentioned that the electric vehicles represent the greatest threat to the oil and gas industry, followed by government regulations (27%) and renewable energy (27%).
DELIVERABLES
The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Mike Edwards, Board Member at Geopost Energy.
The standard deliverable includes:

- 1 x PPT report with aggregated data.
