GLG interviewed 50 senior executives at food delivery platforms across Europe (UK, Italy, France, Spain, and Germany).

- Respondents commented on operational considerations such as commission structures from restaurants and discussed the various restaurant types.
- Lastly, the research gathered perspectives on the future of the driver model used by vendors.
Examples of findings:
- Respondents reported that the average consumer purchase frequency is greater than 1 order per month, with 24% reporting a purchase frequency of 3+ orders per month.
- More than half (52%) stated that they expect dark kitchens to be an ‘essential’ or ‘high’ priority for companies in the next 12-18 months.
- The market is expected to continue its growth, with just 2% of respondents stating the market has reached its peak.
