TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 100 deans and professors who discussed the latest trends for educational technology in the US, Europe, MENA, Australia, and New Zealand. This is the fifth wave in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the Content Management System, Learning Management System, and Student Information System their institution is using and whether it was easy for them to adapt to the new studying environment.
  • The survey covered insights into digital learning tools used in the classroom and how they provide a 360 experience for both teachers and students.
  • Lastly, the research covered the budget used in implementing educational technology in institutions.

Example of findings:

  • WordPress and Moodle are currently the leaders in CMS and LMS respectively, Canvas and Blackboard follow next in both categories.
  • After a small rise in June 2022, the proportion of education institutions who have seen their technology budget increase has fallen to an all-time low.
  • After a significant surge in 2023 rise of AI currently is the top concern regarding technology, followed closely by data breaches.

DELIVERABLES

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Andrew Siclari, Adjunct Professor at George Washington University.

The standard deliverable includes:

  • 1 x Individual responses (“raw data”) in Excel.
  • 1 x PPT report with aggregated data.
  • In-depth PowerPoint report of survey findings presented by the Council Member via webcast (optional).

  • Which of the following do you do to pay for digital learning tools/are ways that your school district pays for digital learning tools?
  • To what extent do the digital learning tools used at your school/used in your school district meet the following criteria?
  • Do you believe adding more technology to your classroom would increase the level of student engagement?
  • How much of a positive difference, if at all, do you think technology makes for your students on each of the following?
  • Do you expect your technology budget to increase or decrease in the next 5 years?
  • How can educational institutions leverage EdTech investments to develop resilient hybrid learning systems?
  • What do you think is currently disrupting the EdTech market?

If the survey is not included within your subscription, GLG will invoice Client for the fees due for the Network Survey. Please note that some respondents may not be Network Members, and the Terms and Conditions of Network Membership would not apply to such respondents and detailed records for them will not be available aside from the information that GLG capture in the Network Survey.
