GLG surveyed 70 Chief Financial Officers from US and Europe (UK, DE, FR, IT, ES) who provided their outlook on the global economic situation.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • The research investigated how CFOs perceive the impact of macro-economic trends.
  • Respondents commented on several long-standing topics including COVID-19 impact and homeworking.
  • Lastly, the survey asked about the perceived outlook on issues such as inflation, globalization, and labour shortages.

Examples of findings:

  • Half (56%) of CFOs agree that we are in a new era where pandemics are a regular feature of economic life.
  • 29% believe that homeworking increases productivity for their industry while 17% believe it has a negative impact.
  • Two thirds of CFOs say their industry is experiencing moderate or major labour shortages.

DELIVERABLES

The GLG Surveys team drafted the questionnaire with the support of GLG Network Member, Anthony Yates, former Senior Advisor for the Monetary Policy Committee at Bank of England.

The standard deliverable includes:
