SURVEY DETAILS
TARGET POPULATION

For this Network Survey, GLG surveyed 70 senior executives working within the cement manufacturing space in the US and Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain). This is the third iteration in this tracker series.

What will you learn from this survey?

  • Respondents discussed the situation regarding sustainability in construction and actions companies in the sector are taking.
  • The survey covered the experts’ views on how likely companies are to adopt low-carbon solutions.
  • Lastly, the research gathered the experts’ views on the future of the industry, including further consolidation in the cement industry space.

Examples of findings:

  • In August 2024, more than half of respondents expect the anticipated impact of labour costs on the industry to be negative in the next 2 years.
  • 54% respondents expect that more than 10% of the cement will be replaced by alternative materials or low CO2 alternatives in the next 10 years.
  • Even if milestones between countries have some differences, reducing cement carbon output seems to be the main focus.
