While the market narrative focuses heavily on the raw technological power of large language models, enterprise leaders are grappling with the structural reality of execution. Moving from baseline chatbots and supportive copilots to fully autonomous agents isn’t just an IT upgrade—it demands a fundamental evaluation of enterprise architecture, change management, and commercial measurement.

This session moves past vendor pitches to examine how leading organizations are approaching the “Operating Model Question”: Should AI adapt to your legacy processes, or should you redesign workflows from the ground up? We will further address how to quantify this transition credibly to boards and C-suite stakeholders who are demanding tangible business outcomes.

Key Discussion Points:

  • The Evolution of AI: Dissecting the architectural shift from Chatbot to Copilot to Agent. What agents can execute that copilots cannot, and why chatbots failed to alter unit economics.
  • Agentic AI Use Cases: Identifying where APAC enterprises are launching their first agents, analyzing early success rates, and assessing what bottlenecks block long-term potential.
  • The Operating Model Shift: What process redesign from scratch actually looks like in a complex enterprise. Overcoming organizational friction, defining structural ownership, and preparing cultural readiness.
  • The Measurement Dilemma: How boards approach the AI ROI conversation. Exploring whether standard ROI metrics fail in agentic architectures and exactly what indicators CIOs and CAIOs must prioritize.

Alex Szabo | Former Head of Strategy and Operations at Google

Alex Szabo helps companies grow in Asia, whether that means entering the region, rebuilding commercial operations, or designing new business models, and he advises on doing it in the AI era as a hands-on practitioner rather than a commentator. Over 20 years he has done this across McKinsey, Google, and Samsung, and most recently built and led Stryber's APAC practice from zero before moving to independent advisory. At Google he was Head of Strategy & Operations for Devices & Services in APAC, owning regional planning, commercial operations, and partner strategy. He also publishes APAC Signal, a daily editorial on how PE funds and technology companies are rethinking their Asia and AI playbooks.

Please note: Our speakers will discuss these topics from an industry practitioner’s perspective. They will not discuss the proprietary internal operations or confidential insights of their current or previous employers. They reserve the right to decline to answer questions related to restricted or confidential market matters.
