New York, New York; March 15, 2017<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0GLG<\/a>\u00a0(Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc.) today released videos with\u00a0Jeff Kindler<\/a>, former CEO of Pfizer and Co-Chair of the\u00a0GLG Institute<\/a>; and\u00a0Pamela Thomas-Graham<\/a>, former Chief Marketing and Talent Officer at Credit Suisse, as part of its\u00a0Anatomy of a Decision<\/a>\u00a0video series.<\/p>\n

Kindler and Thomas-Graham, interviewed by GLG Head of Public Affairs Richard Socarides, discuss the importance of investing in life-long learning and mentorship, especially in the C-suite. Kindler shares how he became Chief Executive of Pfizer, what he wishes he had done differently, and the importance of making time for professional development.<\/p>\n

Kindler also sheds light on the toughest challenges he faced as CEO, including negotiations around the passage of the Affordable Care Act, commenting: \u201cMy hope is that as Congress and the new administration considers possible changes in the law, they will closely consult with the patient groups, physicians, providers, and other participants in our very complex healthcare system so as to develop solutions that are in the best interests of patients and taxpayers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thomas-Graham discusses her multi-faceted career and her roles at Credit Suisse, CNBC, and McKinsey & Co., where she was the first African-American woman to be named partner. She explores the impact of diversity on decision-making and the importance of creating career opportunities for others. \u201cI was lucky enough to have someone open a door for me, so I\u2019m going to now open a door to you. I think that\u2019s an obligation we all have.\u201d She also explores some of the challenges of being African-American in corporate America. \u201cComing up through the ranks at McKinsey, most of the clients were Fortune 500 CEOs, and people weren\u2019t sure if they would take advice from a black woman\u2026I was the first black woman that some had ever really known.\u201d<\/p>\n
